Skyclad - Discografia

Caras, vou dizer uma coisa pra vocês, eu não ia upar essa discografia agora, já tinha os cd's upados de outras duas, mas após ouvir um álbum completo após quase 1 ano sem ouví-los decidi upar logo, essa banda é foda, sem falar na importância dos caras pro Folk metal em seu todo. Skyclad é uma banda de Heavy Metal Tradicional, que mistura vários elementos do folk, foi uma das primeiras bandas a se aventurar por esses lados. Formada na cidade de Newcastle-Upon-Tyne,na Inglaterra, em 1990, pelo vocalista Martin Walkyier, e pelo guitarrista Steve Ramsey. O nome vem de do termo pagão "Skyclad", era um ritual em que os participantes estavam vestidos metaforicamente apenas pelo céu, sim, pelo céu, como um sinal de igualdade.
As letras das canções da banda tratam de uma grande variedade de temas ligados ao mundo real (como também assuntos mais pessoais, porém com mais frequência nas letras de Walkyier) inclusive pobreza, drogas, ambientalismo, política, paganismo, sociedade e comercialismo de maneira geral. Iniciaram sua carreira com a gravação do primeiro disco, o qual possuía o instrumental bem agressivo, quase um thrash metal com algumas influências de folk, especialmente em algumas faixas. A adição do violino e mais tarde teclado, possibilitou aos caras colocarem progressivamente mais influência folk em seus álbuns, com a outra maior modificação sendo a diminuição da influência do "thrash metal" e o surgimento de um estilo mais semelhante ao heavy metal. Algo que merece destaque em muitos álbuns do Skyclad são as faixas curtas, que experimentam diferentes estilos musicais num mesmo disco, ou diferentes instrumentos. Incluindo faixas com palavras faladas e faixas que utilizam instrumentos musicais como gaita-de-fole, trompete e vários outros.
